Blue Cat Café and Wine Bar
Service is so slow, and the food is mediocre
Reviewed by Andy123 on November 8, 2009
We stopped by last night to check it out. It was hidden in an alley and peaked our curiosity. It was a nice dark wood paneled bar, and looks cozy and warm. Unfortunately the service was poor. We had to flag a different waitstaff because the one serving us was always busy with something, and probably stopped by thrice the entire time before the food was served - once to get our order, second to drop off the drink and the pita bread with hummus(tasty), and the third to tell us the food is late. Three times in more than an hour and a half! The food took at least an hour and a half to be served, and it was missing one of the things we ordered. The waitstaff took off before we can tell her what's missing, and had to get her attention by walking to the bar. When she did serve the food, she said "I hope the food was worth the wait!" - No it's not worth the wait - the medium rare filet mignon is cold and medium well, the sweet baked potato is tasteless and looks like it was boiled, and the jumbo prawns with veggies are just 41/50 shrimp. Don't forget the missing mashed potatoes! The cost of dinner would have been fine if the service and the food is good, but that did not happen. We will not be coming back, and neither will our friends. There are many others in the area with fast friendly service. This isn't one of them.
