Attentive staff and a tasty dinner!

I visited Church & Main for dinner last week after not having had a chance to visit since they first opened. My friends and I were greeted by a very friendly host and attended to by a group of waiters and assistants that kept a constant eye on their guests. If we needed anything, all we had to do was look up and we could quickly catch someone's eye who could help us out. Our meal started with the flatbread of the day, which was the perfect size appetizer to share with three people and take the edge off of our hunger. Dinner for two of us were healthy cuts of NY Strip steak, and a great pasta dish featuring many fresh vegetables. The steak was "nothing fancy," but then, I think a NY Strip is best served grilled and without anything fancy. Each steak was grilled to perfection - one medium and the other medium rare. In addition to our attentive servers, the food arrived in a timely manner. It was a well paced meal. I rated the ambiance just average as we were dining early that evening before most people were thinking about dinner. We were the only guests in the restaurant for the bulk of our visit, save for a duo of lawyers. For some odd reason, we were seated directly next to them, rather than at any of the other similarly sized tables where we would not have felt like we were eavesdropping on their conversation - and trust me, you don't want to eavesdrop on lawyers... I wish we could have tried dessert, but we all had to be some place else so our visit was cut short. I am looking forward to my next visit!
