Three Tomatoes Trattoria - Burlington
Worst thin crust pizza I've ever had
Reviewed by Bethiechick on May 29, 2012
I visited Three Tomatoes wanting to enjoy some wood fired, thin crust pizza. What a disappointment. The $15 Pollo Rosso pizza's crust was completely soggy, and bent in half when I picked up a slice. That's okay for thicker, NY style pizza, not for thin crust! Most of the toppings slid off. The wet, little crust was buried under an inch of cheese, huge spinach leaves, half-onion slices, and chunks of chicken. Bland flavor. Thin-crust pizza lovers know you have to balance the toppings on the lighter side when the crust is that thin...American Flatbread knows this; their thin crust pizza is amazing, and I wish we had gone there than to Three Tomatoes. I waited for the server to ask how the food was, but she never did. If she was really busy, I might understand, but we were one of three tables seated in the whole place, so I'm not sure why she didn't check in with us. My dinner guest said their mussels were okay, but that there were very few for the $18 price. We won't be back!
