Pizzeria Verità
good start needs tweaking
Reviewed by Anonymous67 on May 29, 2012
We made reservations thinking we would need them at 6 on Marathon day but I think we would have been fine, but we were pleased to have reservations... HATE waiting hours to get into Flatbread with kids. The server was great, friendly and attentive, the pizzas were good, loved by my 67 yo mom, my vegetarian teen and young daughter (that in itself is a good sign). I thought the salads were tasty as well, tried the avocado/beet as other reviewers did, i liked it but there were a couple pretty old pieces of avocado in it. My only complaints are... the drinks were quite tiny for the prices, martinis were miniscule and the wine pour was a little soft, when I pay $9 for rose I want at least 1/2 a glass not a third and the noise level was crazy, kinda like Farmhouse, where you have to shout to have a conversation, the interior is inviting but they have to get some drapery or under table sound proofing so you can have a conversation. I don't expect a "romantic" noise level but something under constant din would really help. I'll definitely go back, with or without kids but I'm hoping some changes will be made, at least with the noise... you can always choose not to drink but I would like to talk with the people I'm dining with.
