Pizzeria Verità
The food is very good, but....
Reviewed by Palatable on July 1, 2012
My partner and I went here for our first visit several weeks ago, well after the place had opened for business. It was very busy, which was encouraging. Unfortunately, it was also quite loud (louder than Farmhouse on a weekend night). The hostesses were very pleasant, and we were seated quickly. Our server was pleasant enough but it was clear she was not enjoying herself (you have to learn how to fake it sometimes). My partner's red wine was acceptable, and my drink was a bit odd (a mojito that tasted watered down with soda water). Our salads were qute good (fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors). We each got a pizza to try (we would have just gotten one, but then we saw that one would not be enough for two). We pizzas were very tasty but they really are much smaller than the pizzas from other comparable places (American Flatbread and Bite Me specifically). To sum it up, the food is very good but not a great value and the service and ambiance are lacking.
