Drunken Noodle House
A nice option in Essex
Reviewed by TonyO on November 18, 2008
I stopped today for lunch at The Drunken Noodle with my vegetarian daughter. She ordered the Spicy Basil Stir-Fry and as pleased with the flavor and freshness. They accomodated her request to have it "not too spicy" which is always appreciated. I had the Kee Mao with beef and it proved to be a well done version of this popular Thai dish. Prior to our choices being delivered, we were served a bowl of soup. I'm not sure if this is always included with the $6.95 lunch specials but it was a nice touch. The service is very friendly and prompt making for a quick, enjoyable, and very reasonably priced lunch.

Michael's on the Hill
An Excellent Choice
Reviewed by TonyO on November 12, 2008
We recently dined at Michael's on the Hill on a Saturday evening. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience. The appetizers of calamari and crab cake were perfectly prepared and artfully plated. Entrees included Filet of Beef Tenderloin, Navarin of Lamb ( stew like presentation), Halibut, and Pork. All dishes were delicious and the portions were ample. The wine list is well thought and typically marked up. The staff is very customer focused and genuinely concerned about the satisfaction of their guests.

Bite Me Organic Pizza
Interesting Review

The previous review made me curious. According to the owner, he doesn't shop in Price Chopper or any other grocery store for that matter so maybe it was a case of mistaken identity. I guess we will never know but I'll agree that if I received a mushroom pizza with 5 mushrooms on it I wouldn't return. My guess is that someone else got your mushrooms as a form of "redistribution of wealth". Afterall, it is the patriotic thing to do these days.........

Enough about Johnny Depp Already
Reviewed by TonyO on October 16, 2008
I'm not sure about the source of the Johnny Depp obsession, but it is not only confusing but a bit creepy. The owner seems like a nice enough guy but repeating Johnny Depp over and over to describe a pastry was enough to send me out the door.

Trattoria Delia
Another puzzling "review" on 7 Nights
Reviewed by TonyO on October 1, 2008
In reading the review of Trattoria Delia recently posted by coloradolove I can't help but question some of the posts that make their way onto this website. I wonder why someone would order from a menu that has nothing that appeals to them (hard to believe), states the food is inedible, and then wraps up their post by putting in a plug for another restaurant. I guess the rest of us are not "grown up enough" to understand Italian cuisine.
