Well if you didn't try Menores, your too late. I'm glad we used up our gift certificates before they closed their doors after 5 months. I will remember them for the World's Worst Sangria !

Loretta's Fine Italian Cuisine
Not as good as the last time
Reviewed by TonyO on March 14, 2009
Upon entering Loretta's at about 6:45 Saturday, I noticed that it seemed a bit chaotic. We soon learned that there was only one server. Oh well, it happens. We ordered our drinks (soda only tonight) and then our food. Our salads arrived but we had to ask for bread (as did a few other tables nearby). Our orders were a childrens' ravioli with sausage, a Scungilli and Calamari, and Angel Hair with marinara and a request for black olives. The food was properly prepared but the pricing seemed odd and the calamari/scungilli dish had no pasta with it. The children's ravioli with sausage(ordered for a 4 year old) was $11.95, and the angel hair dish was $15.95 (kind of odd in that pasta with meatsauce or meatballs or sausage is $11.95). I would have questioned this while there but it took nearly 15 minutes to get my bill. I can write the staff shortage off as part of the tribulations of being in the restauarnt business but the pricing was just plain odd.

Koto Japanese Steak House
Worth the $$
Reviewed by TonyO on March 13, 2009
OK, many have decided that Koto is more about the "show" than the chow so they go elsewhere. I have to say, they balance both quite well and this is a worthy destination. The main draw is the hibachi tables which are generally full almost every night (based on my experience). Yes, the food is simply prepared but it is fresh and properly cooked. The wine list is not extensive but I applaud them for such offerings as a glass of Pine Ridge Viognier/Chenin Blanc blend for a very reasonable $6.95. Kids love the fire and juggling, adults can have a cocktail and everyone leaves full. As an added bonus, they have discounts in almost every newspaper, phonebook, and other restaurant publication helping to make a night out a little more affordable. I'm not sure if it is "authentic" Japanese cuisine, but quite frankly, I think it offers a reasonably priced night out with pllenty of parking for rickshaws and SUVs.

Drunken Noodle House
Consistently Excellent
Reviewed by TonyO on February 7, 2009
We have returned several times since our first visit last year. The food is always fresh and delicious. I can't think of many dishes that are better than the Grilled Chicken with Yellow Curry Noodles (which I had today). Very nice people serving delicious food at very reasonable prices is what The Drunken Noodle is all about. Once you try it, you will likely become a regular.

Kitchen Table Bistro, The
New Year, New Menu !
Reviewed by TonyO on January 24, 2009
My wife and I have always enjoyed dining at The Kitchen Table Bistro and were excited to learn about the new menu. I called at 5:00 p.m. last night to inquire about a reservation later in the evening and booked a table for 8:15. When we arrived at 8:00, the parking lot was as full as we have ever seen ! After a friendly greeting, we were promptly seated by our server Dana. With adult beverages in hand, we decided on the Pernod roasted snails and a whole leaf Caesar. Both items were perfectly prepared and delicious. We decided to try two new items, the KTB Burger and Gnocchi with Coq Au Vin. The burger was cooked perfectly and had the great flavor that only locally raised beef can accomplish. The selection of bleu cheese transformed the humble burger into a decadent meal. The gnocchi are always a treat here and they combined perfectly with the tender chicken and roasted garlic cloves. The crusty Red Hen bread came in handy to clean the plate ! My wife ordered tea and a Cream Cheese pound cake accompanied by Meyer Lemon cream, grapefruit supremes, and a scoop if Lara's incredible homemade vanilla ice cream. I generally treat dessert as a "spectator sport", but the extra spoon on the plate tempted me to join in. All I can say is WOW ! This is the perfect dessert. The pound cake is moist yet has a wonderfully crisp exterior. The other items combined to be refreshing balance to the rich pound cake. As long time patrons of this restaurant, we are thrilled to see it thriving during such tight economic times. It goes to show that intelligent menu creation combined with excellent ingredients, exemplary execution, and service that is professional, polite, and considerate can weather the storm.

This family owned and operated restaurant is quite a sanctuary just off of busy Susie Wilson Rd. The menu is varied and well prepared and includes a great Goat Cheese salad that is delicious. The wine list is well thought out and compliments there food very well.
