Three Tomatoes Trattoria - Burlington
Worst thin crust pizza I've ever had
Reviewed by Bethiechick on May 29, 2012
I visited Three Tomatoes wanting to enjoy some wood fired, thin crust pizza. What a disappointment. The $15 Pollo Rosso pizza's crust was completely soggy, and bent in half when I picked up a slice. That's okay for thicker, NY style pizza, not for thin crust! Most of the toppings slid off. The wet, little crust was buried under an inch of cheese, huge spinach leaves, half-onion slices, and chunks of chicken. Bland flavor. Thin-crust pizza lovers know you have to balance the toppings on the lighter side when the crust is that thin...American Flatbread knows this; their thin crust pizza is amazing, and I wish we had gone there than to Three Tomatoes. I waited for the server to ask how the food was, but she never did. If she was really busy, I might understand, but we were one of three tables seated in the whole place, so I'm not sure why she didn't check in with us. My dinner guest said their mussels were okay, but that there were very few for the $18 price. We won't be back!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Beautiful view, great service, and fresh, tasty food. I love that they offer smaller portions at dinner on their menu-good for all appetites. Everything I've had there is amazing-highly recommend.

Madera's Restaurante Mexicano Cantina
The worst Mexican food I've had....
Reviewed by Bethiechick on August 7, 2008
I had never been here to eat, but gave it a try because a friend of mine enjoyed Roque. Wow, was this food bad. The chips were okay, served with bland, flavorless refried beans to dip them in-not sure why-and the worst "salsa" I've ever had; it tasted like watered down pasta sauce. The fajita burrito had 4 curly, tiny chicken pieces within-all identical, so I assume they were processed, and a few pieces of onion and pepper, as well as an orange rice and bean mix. This whole mess slid out of the tortilla the second I picked it up. As for flavor, again, bland and if I wasn't so hungry, I wouldn't have eaten it at all. This lunch fajita burrito cost $9.95, and not only was overpriced, but just bland, bad Mexican food. Do yourself a favor, and just go to Taco Bell if you crave Mexican-it's much, much better than this food, and that's unfortunate.
