Red Onion
Mmmmm....sammiches!
Reviewed by freyalisa on March 28, 2007
These sandwiches are outstanding. The bread is awesome - they have a great choice of toppings ALL which are fresh, crispy and delicious. The cookies are (..drool...mmmmmmm... if i could do a Homer Simpson gurgle effectively - i would ad it to this review) are always sooo yummy -and such a tasty variety to choose from. Downside is that lines tend to get long at lunches and Saturdays - but its worth the wait! I usually get mine to go and eat somewhere else - as there isn't a lot of seating inside, and its a bit dark. Have heard the Red Onion sandwich is amazing - just found out they have a vegetarian version and I am eager to get my hands on it!

Drink
The drinks are awesome
Reviewed by freyalisa on February 15, 2007
I have only been to the wine bar once, and we only ordered drinks... BUT - i absolutely adored the ambiance. It was 8:30pm on a Saturday and the place was totally chill. Enough people to provide some energy, but not busy, loud or overcrowded. I LOVE the leather couches for lounging, and the booths and tables looked comfortable too. The drinks were outstanding!! I cannot wait to go back and try the food! Definitely a good place to check out! (Hint: On a saturday night you can hit this place while you wait for your table at Flatbread - as there's usually an hour wait).

Leonardo's Pizza
Never disappointing
Reviewed by freyalisa on February 15, 2007
Leonardo's has awesome pizza. Whole wheat crust, great toppings, and a huge variety of meat and meatless pizzas. The gorgonzola gourmet is awesome!! The amount of toppings available is impressive. They almost always deliver ahead of when they say they will. And, always have great coupon deals in the paper, in the phone book or with your order. Best pizza place in town!!!!!

I love the Daily Planet. The food choices are always interesting and delicious. I love the atmosphere. Its tucked away, so often not too overcrowded or noisy. They make some of the best margaritas in town! Always a good time had there.

Smokejacks
Reputation should not precede this ....
Reviewed by freyalisa on January 28, 2007
I've always heard how delicious smokejacks was, so finally we went there. My experience was not impressive - it was so crowded, cramped, crazy loud. The service was insanely slow. And, i paid $12 for ONE tomale - that is corn, sweet potatoe and cheese wrapped in a husk. The tomale came with NOTHING. Overpriced and not that impressive. I will not go again. TERRIBLE vegetarian options.. beware.

Nectar's
For what it is - its Yummy!
Reviewed by freyalisa on January 28, 2007
Nectars is fun! The gravy fries are awesome! Yes, its not fancy food - but if you want a place where you can chill out in big cushy boothes, play some pool, wander over sideways for live entertainment and a yummy bar, and eat some naughty fried food - then its the place to be! Staff have always been very friendly to us when we go.
