Yama Pleasure: Reviewed by not your mama on February 11, 2012; St Albans now has another choice of dining! Out of guilty stealth I stopped in at Yama (guilty because I have highest praise for Thai House and Eastern Dragon) but Yama is within a quick walking distance of home. The Eel and cucumber roll,eel and avocado roll and salmon roll were just perfect for a takeout treat, well priced, fresh, fresh fresh and expertly prepared. Forget about the Shopping Center exposure, grab a movie at Video King, your Nyquil next door and enjoy some delicious sushi and sashimi. Welcome to St. Albans.: Reviewed by JEB on February 9, 2012; The new large sign in St. Albans butt-ugly downtown shopping mall surprised me..., pleasantly. Assuring to assuage aforementioned curiosity, I decided to augment my morning's doctors appointment with a small Japanese treat. The friendly staff of this new addition to town treated me to three small tasty salads (cucumber, sprouts, carrots) as a way to comfort me as I waited for my take-out order. This is a first rate and very concerned staff. The small, perfectly presented sushi were absolutely first rate. The only close competitor I've enjoyed in Vermont would be San Sei, Burlington, also delicious. Yes, the sushi at Yama was very, very good...; Report this review as inappropriate
