Consistently Let Down
Reviewed by mcat on December 1, 2009
Let me start by saying, I want to like 3 Squares. Any time I go in for coffee, lunch, or otherwise, I am hopeful that I will come away satisfied. Unfortunately, it seems like every time I am there something is either not quite right, or not right at all. First, there was the time when all 4 carafes of coffee were lukewarm on a Thursday afternoon. I need my late afternoon coffee fix! Judging by the look of displeasure on my fellow diners' faces, they did too. I can excuse the coffee getting cold (happens to the best of coffees!), but when I mentioned the not-so-hot temperature to the person behind the counter, no fresh pot was brewed...at least during the 20 minutes that I stayed afterward. Then, there was the 1/2 soup, 1/2 sandwich order: the hot soup showed up immediately (am I the only one who thinks of the sandwich and soup coming together when I order the 1/2 soup 1/2 salad plate?), and the 1/2 sandwich was forgotten. What about the time time I felt ill after eating a salad? Enough said. Consistently in the 'not good' category though, are the not-so-clean bathrooms (makes me wonder about that salad), and the fact that the employees seem to have ongoing battle to see who can wait the longest to bus the tables. Like I said, I want to like 3 Squares. Heck, they're the only gig in town! I will continue to support this business, but it gets more difficult with every visit.

Great food, and above and beyond service
Reviewed by BC on August 24, 2009
I hired 3 Squares to cater an outdoor party, and it was flawless. From the beginning, they were very easy to work with on food options and really helped remove my stress about feeding a bunch of people. My guests RAVED about the food, and I'm still hearing about it weeks later.

good but not out of this world

Got a pita with a bunch of veggies and they kept forgetting a bunch of the things I asked for, and when I came to the front to ask for the food they forgot, they took so long to actually get it to me. There were so many mistakes but the food was yummy, but the cost to benefit wasn't monumental.
