Best in Burlington

This place is awesome. I'm not a scone person, but for theirs I make an exception. Their savory biscuits and croissants are also amazing. In my opinion, better than the other options in Burlington (including the ever-popular Mirabelles). The atmosphere is also really conducive to hanging out for a bit. There's usually a table or at least counter space available, and the lighting/music isn't overwhelming. Great spot.

Great food, rude service
Reviewed by CWash on November 26, 2012
That sums it up. The food is wonderful, but the staff can be extremely rude or very nice. Depends who ya' get, I guess. I have had bad service enough times to skip the excellent food because it just isn't worth the nastiness from some of the baristas.

Hidden gem in the ONE
Reviewed by TilleyChili on August 17, 2012
Happy to see this great bakery expand into a really tasty dinner option. Their pizza menu is brief and thoughtful. We had the 3 Spread starter, a plate of fresh foccacia squares with a generous amount of olive tapanade, savory eggplant and white bean spreads. We ordered the "Green Mountain" pizza topped with apples, Gorgonzola, arugula, and drizzled with honey. One pizza is the perfect size for two people. The space is small and cozy; a great option for a dinner date or a small group. We thought it was cozy, tasty, affordable, and worth a visit.

AMAZING BAKERY- MY FAVORITE
Reviewed by Faith2289 on May 25, 2012
I really love this bakery and the homey and relaxed feeling of the place. I find the people behind the counter are friendly and very polite which makes the experience much more enjoyable. Besides it's my favorite place to eat my breakfast or treat myself to something good during the day. Their focaccia is to die for and I love the fact that u can have it as a sandwich too. The raspberry scones are definitely one of my favorite things and the croissant are a good breakfast above all the chocolate ones...hmmmm...it makes u start the day with the right sweet attitude. I try 2 go there as often as possible.. also on Wednesday...there's cookie decorating and I really like the fact they give some space to the kids... it's a simple thing: sugar cookies and colored frosting and sprinkles...but it's very sweet too... i have to appreciate deeply the simple fact that they are kids friendly which makes it higher in my recommendation. I also like the fact the now i can find them in the farmer's market i save some time getting to my chocolate croissant.... what can I say.. I would write too many things.... muffin biscuits quiche... granola strata...just go and try something...it's worth it... I know I will ...

Products are inconsistent and quality has dropped
Reviewed by Catfish on February 18, 2012
Used to be goodf but since new owners and expansion it's gone done hill. I used to go out of my way a few times a week to stop here and get a coffee, croissant or other pastry. But they’ve lost my business over the few past months. I no longer desire their products like I used to because their croissants have become a poor excuse for laminated dough. Not properly produced which makes them chewy and dry; not flaky and buttery. Their other products that I’ve tried because the croissants were such crap also failed to impress or even meet what I’d consider a proper baked good. Also their presentation of the products is homey but shouldn’t they have a sneeze guard or somehow protect the products a bit from customers’ coughs or fingers. Another reason I won’t be back there anytime soon is the customer service, or lack of it. The folks behind their counter have seemed drab and taken away from my experience not made it better.

Perfect little sandwich!
Reviewed by VT_Andy on July 12, 2011
I stopped in the other day and enjoyed a tasty sandwich, with fresh greens, vinaigrette, and capicola on delicious focaccia -- wonderful! This makes Panadero one of the better places to have lunch when you find yourself in the Old North End at lunchtime -- and worth the jog up North Winooski if you are downtown!
